Model kitten finds his light, a home
DR. ANDREA RAZER
This kitten was one of several dropped off on our clinic doorstep one morning. It happens every now and again. There’s a carrier or a cardboard box, sometimes accompanied by a note, that greets us at the door. Mostly we get kittens, but occasionally puppies or an adult cat or dog will be dropped off.
Fortunately, we always seem to be able to find a home for them. This kitten was adopted by a member of our staff at Hillcrest Animal Hospital. Kittens are such frenetic creatures. I like that this one looks so still and calm — also that he followed the first rule of modeling and found his light!
I’d like to welcome you to my photoblog! My intention is for this blog to reflect the animals I come into contact with through my work as a veterinarian, as a pet owner myself and as a resident of Arkansas. In other words, any animal, domestic, wild or somewhere in between that wanders in front of my lens is considered fair game.
Depending on how much available free time and energy I have, the photograph will be accompanied by well-researched and pertinent information, a thought-provoking essay or original witticisms. Sometimes you may have to settle for a one-line caption, but cute animals will always be the order of the day!

Thank you for the time/energy spent in sending such a delightful picture! The old saying of what one picture is worth sure bears out that meaning in this shot.
Studying any animal especially the pose and the eyes, tells it all. I have never
been able to resist loving an animal once I see the eyes! They have not always been
“pretty” by our standards, one of the homeliest I’ve ever seen brought much joy.
I named him Joe Namath to give him a will to grow to be strong! Cross-eyed, pale in
color, but a heart of gold!
Keep on allowing us to see the “hearts and souls” of these God-sent creatures.
God Bless you.
