A cold day at the Little Rock Zoo equals one unhappy lioness.
She had no reservations about taking her unhappiness out on Mr. King of the Jungle either. There was snarling, batting, growling and even some light pummeling.
For his part, he just tried to get back in her good graces. Smart move.

I feed the squirrels and the birds on my deck. I know that many people consider squirrels to be incorrigible vermin, but hey, they are really cute incorrigible vermin.
This picture was taken through my sliding glass door as the squirrel sat on the deck rail.
They know I’ll put out more food if they start looking hungry and cute. I just can’t resist a fuzzy face.

The lemurs were in fine spirits that day at the Little Rock Zoo.
Perhaps they were re-enacting scenes from their favorite Kung Fu movies.
Whatever their inspiration, it was fun to watch!
Dr. Andrea Razer graduated from Hendrix College in 2000 and from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Since graduation, she has worked as an associate veterinarian at Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Little Rock. Razer lives with her husband, three sons, two dogs and four cats. She has been an amateur photographer for the past two years.
